We continue to explore the Caribbean and Chinese fusion cuisine with our next guest chef - Marie Mitchell! Presenting a menu that captures the best of two worlds and we are thrilled to be hosting this warm and passionate chef and writer. And just to make sure that we have your attention, did somebody say JERK DUMPLING?!


ABOUT:

Marie Mitchell is a writer, chef, and mental health advocate. Having co-founded Island Social Club, the popular pop up, she will soon be launching her newsletter – Like Cooked Food, a project centred around community and kinship. Marie makes a considered effort to create space in which she can explore Caribbean culture and food with her own version of authenticity and without limits. Developing dishes by focusing on history, geography, and contemporary ingredients found in her locale and home, London, Marie is conscious of driving British Caribbean cuisine, and thus culture, forward. Outside of food, Marie is a champion of social inclusivity, sustainability, and supporting and creating spaces for self-care and mental health awareness. Marie will publish her first book, Kin: Caribbean Recipes for the Modern Kitchen, (Particular Books, Penguin), on the 6th June, which will feature a collection of recipes from the Caribbean and its diaspora, celebrating the powerful connection food gives us to our families, culture, and to places and people around the world.

Steamed Stonebass with Escovitch Pickle, Coconut Rice with toasted Coconut

Black Sesame Paste, Plantain Fritters with Lime Syrup, Cocoa & Lime Zest

**Tickets are non refundable but can be transferred to another person.

***Please note that we will serve sharing plates family style, so be prepared to share the food with your table. Due to this all people in the same company who want to sit and eat together need to book together or email us and let us know who’s included in your company before the day.

We deliver throughout the UK Mainland via DPD every Friday. The online store cutoff is midday each Wednesday for Friday delivery. On the day of your delivery DPD will send you an estimated 1 hour delivery slot.

Frozen goods are shipped using wool insulation and dry ice. 

OUR INGREDIENTS

We choose only quality ingredients for all our products to make sure everything tastes as good as it can!​ All our meat is free range, sourced from UK farms. Our fish is sustainably sourced and our prawns are sourced from Ecuador for a sweeter prawn that's more sustainably farmed. We also aim to have a great Vegan offering, with around half of our products being Plant Based.

RESTAURANT QUALITY

All our retail products have been developed in our restaurants and then tried and tested on the many customers coming through the doors, so you can be sure you're getting restaurant quality dishes in the comfort of your own home!
