What: Singaporean Supper club by Andrew aka Drunken Prawn

For our next guest chef in line we have the splendid Drunken Prawn cooking for us! We are delighted that he has taken time out of his busy schedule to collaborate with us on this and we are ready for ALL the flavours!

Born in Singapore to a Peranakan mother and British father Andrew moved to South east London when he was young. Missing the food culture from his birthplace, Andrew's passion for cooking grew in the absence of affordable streetfood in the UK and thanks to his mother’s excellent home cooking. Over the years  Andrew taught himself to cook an expanded repertoire by watching youtube videos and explored the world of food with his unceasing appetite. In 2022 he started doing supper clubs and events on the side of his day job. Under the alias “Drunken Prawn”, Andrew's priority is to share his love for Southeast Asia through bold and unapologetic flavours, ensuring his guests are made to feel like family.

 

THE MENU:

- Sambal Ikan Bilis (Crunchy dried Anchovy and peanuts in sweet sambal)

- Bak Kut Teh Soup Dumpling (the original means "meat bone tea" and is reimagined into a soup dumpling)

- Bakwan Kepiting (Crystal skin dumpling stuffed with pork, crab and fish filling)

- Popiah (Fresh spring roll in an egg wrapper)

- Sambal Kang Kong (A hawker / zhi char staple dish consisting of spicy, shrimpy morning glory)

- Ikan Kukus Sambal Assam (Steamed Seabass coated in a sour sambal)

- Kari Ayam Kapitan (Peranakan style chicken curry with potatoes)

- Steamed rice

- Pisang Goreng, Pandan Ice cream, Gula Melaka Caramel (Fried Plantain with Pandan flavoured Ice cream and Palm sugar caramel)

**Tickets are non refundable but can be transferred to another person.

Please note that we will serve sharing plates family style, so be prepared to share the food with your table. Due to this all people in the same company who want to sit and eat together need to book together or email us and let us know who’s included in your company.

We deliver throughout the UK Mainland via DPD every Friday. The online store cutoff is midday each Wednesday for Friday delivery. On the day of your delivery DPD will send you an estimated 1 hour delivery slot.

Frozen goods are shipped using wool insulation and dry ice. 

OUR INGREDIENTS

We choose only quality ingredients for all our products to make sure everything tastes as good as it can!​ All our meat is free range, sourced from UK farms. Our fish is sustainably sourced and our prawns are sourced from Ecuador for a sweeter prawn that's more sustainably farmed. We also aim to have a great Vegan offering, with around half of our products being Plant Based.

RESTAURANT QUALITY

All our retail products have been developed in our restaurants and then tried and tested on the many customers coming through the doors, so you can be sure you're getting restaurant quality dishes in the comfort of your own home!
